Janosz Poha was in charge of restoration at the Manhattan Museum of Art when he hired Dana Barrett, a concert cellist taking a break from music after the birth of her son, Oscar. While she was in his employ, Janosz grew enamored of Dana and made repeated unsuccessful advances. One night, while restoring a portrait of Vigo the Carpathian, a.k.a, the Scourge of Carpathia and the Sorrow of Moldavia, Janosz was contacted by Vigo from the supernatural plane. In exchange for helping Vigo return to life in the body of Oscar, Janosz would be given Dana Barrett as his personal concubine. Janosz comes from the Upper West Side of New York City.
