Title:
Skyfire Sky Fire Jetfire Jet Fire MP-57 With Optimus Prime Wheeljack And Jazz
Description:
Skyfire (2023)
ID Number: MP-57
Accessories: 3 faces, 2 blast effects, 3 faction plates, "Photon Missile Launcher”, 2-piece stand base, stand arm, stand cradle, 3 mini-figures (Convoy, Meister and Wheeljack)
Known designers: Kōjin Ōno (TakaraTomy)
Masterpiece Jetfire "Skyfire” is an absolutely humongous figure, nearly 14 inches tall in robot mode, about 2 inches taller than the Siege Commander-class toy above. Inspired by the Generation 1 cartoon in design, he transforms into a space jet.
Skyfire comes with a multitude of accessories. For vehicle mode, there is a display stand, and three small, articulated figurines ("Convoy”, "Meister”, and "Wheeljack”) that scale with the vehicle mode and can ride inside of it. Skyfire features several opening hatches for this purpose. As for robot mode, Skyfire comes with three robot faces, including one based on the original masked Macross design (no antennae though). He also has three interchangeable chest plates displaying an Autobot insignia, a Decepticon insignia, and one that is blank, to replicate the scene in "Fire in the Sky” where he removes his Decepticon badge and changes allegiances to the Autobots. Also inspired by that same episode, Skyfire’s helmet opens up to reveal a brainwave monitor. Lastly, he has his iconic "Photon Missile Launcher”, which can be used in robot mode or clipped onto his vehicle mode.
And yes, he is able to turn into a gerwalk mode. Awesome.
Confirmed in an interview seen in the 278th issue of Figure Ō magazine, Skyfire was officially revealed on June 2, 2022. In Japan this figure was exclusive to TakaraTomy Mall.
