A convention exclusive version of Fortress Maximus that features a different robot backpack/face for Cerebros (the same one also used for TakaraTomy’s Legends version of Fortress Maximus), which is based on the head of the original Fortress Maximus’s toy’s Cerebros and Fortress’s character model in the Headmasters anime.
In the United States, this version of Fortress Maximus was exclusively at the the Hasbro Toy Shop booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 and later through the Hasbro Toy Shop website. However, it also saw several international releases: In the United Kingdom, it was available exclusively from A1 Toys, both through their website and their booth at London Film & Comic Con 2016; in mainland China, it was exclusively available at the Hasbro booth at Cybertron Con Shanghai 2016; in Hong Kong, it was exclusively available at Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong 2016; and in Canada, it was exclusively available at the HasbroStore booth at Fan Expo 2016.
