The Energon version of Prowl combines elements from the various earlier versions of vehicle mode Prowls; he transforms into a Cybertronic (Armada Prowl) police vehicle (durhey) styled after an F-1 racer (Machine Wars Prowl), plus he has kanji found on Tokyo police cars (the 2001 Robots in Disguise franchise Prowl). He is armed with a transparent blue spring-loaded missile launcher that is mounted on the side of his vehicle for storage.
As a Deluxe-class Autobot, he can also form the top or bottom half of a Powerlinx combination with any other compatible Energon Autobot.
