The Transformers Drag Strip transforms into a Tyrrell P34 Six-Wheeler race car. He comes with a purple double-barreled plasma-energy blaster that attaches to the back of his vehicle mode. In robot mode he is armed with a small purple gravito-gun. His fists do not have peg holes, allowing them to be less obvious in vehicle mode. Because of this, his weapon plugs into the top of his wrist. Since he was designed with the Scramble City-style combination, he can form the arm or leg to any similarly-constructed robot combination, though his nominal placement is as the right arm to Menasor. Due to the difference in his frame construction, Drag Strip is the only Stunticon whose car body faces forwards rather than backwards when used as a combiner leg.
The picture on the right shows his vehicle mistransformed as the silver-chromed piece is supposed to be flipped back to form the engine block part and cover the Decepticon sigil, as shown here.
Drag Strip’s stickers are asymmetrical and visibly different from those shown on packaging photos, and several stickers’ worth of art are left un-cut and unusable on the sticker sheet. This is believed to be a result of a late-stage change in the placement of his rubsign. It seems that the rubsign was intended to be placed on the left side of the vehicle, with smaller stripe stickers on either side to make space for it, while the longer stripe stickers are used on the right side and the spoiler. Meanwhile, the space for the rubsign was originally covered by a wider stripe sticker.[2] By carefully repositioning the rubsign and manually cutting the shapes into the unused printed sections of the sticker sheet, you can recreate this original layout if you so wish.
In 1990 Drag Strip was offered as a mail away by the Weetabix Breakfast Cereal in the UK. Aerialbot Fireflight was available in the same offer.
