There are few who can shoot, fly, and brag like Dash Rendar. As one of the most effective mercenaries and smugglers in the galaxy, he needs a craft large enough to hold sizable cargo but with the speed and agility of a starfighter. The Outrider is such a ship. Its design is inspired by a Corellian freighter much like the famed Millennium Falcon, though with a few key differences. For one, the Outrider is more compact and slightly faster at sublight speeds. It also boasts a reinforced hyperdrive and powerful twin shield generators housed in its forward main hulls. Rotating dual laser cannons are mounted on both the top and bottom turrets, but its most distinctive feature is its ability to convert into battle mode. This state-of-the-art defense system separates the main hull from port to stern using a rotating swing-arm mechanism, granting the ship an almost unlimited field of fire. In this configuration, the Outrider is notoriously difficult to control—except in the hands of a master pilot like Rendar. Under his command, it becomes a devastating weapon of war. Moving just below lightspeed, with its swing-arm spinning around the ship’s axis, the Outrider may look out of control; in reality, it’s skillfully evading enemy fire while obliterating enemy craft at a staggering rate. Many have compared the Outrider’s “blast-cluster” attacks to a hurricane, as it seems to strike in every direction at once before snapping back out of battle mode and jumping to lightspeed for a swift escape. With Dash Rendar in her cockpit, the Outrider is a fearsome fighter and one of the most challenging targets in the galaxy.
