Power of the Primes Wreck-Gar is a new-head retooling of Unite Warriors Groove, transforming into a motorcycle of made-up model. Wreck-Gar can also change into a limb for any Combiner Wars-style Combiner.
Like all Power of the Primes Deluxe Class figures, he comes with Prime Armor (redecoed from the Dinobots and the Terrorcons) with a spot for Prime Masters (and by extension, Titan Masters, Enigmas, or Matrix cores) and can form a Combiner hand. He includes a piece that can fill the gap in the armor or be held as a gun. Unlike most Deluxes in the subline, there is no way to attach the Prime Armor to his chest without modifications. He also includes a redeco of the axe weapon that came with the Reveal the Shield figure above, which is really awkward for him to hold the only way he can, at the very bottom of the long shaft. However, the ”C joint” clip can attach to his left arm’s kickstand, turning it into an arm-mounted blade.
The side of Wreck-Gar’s packaging shows a cropped view of the unnamed Inferno Combiner,[1] though as it turns out, Wreck-Gar himself is not even part of the art.[2]
He was first discovered in a listing in Walgreens’ internal systems during the course of Titans Return as a Walgreens exclusive. He then debuted at Taiwanese retail prior to any official acknowledgement from Hasbro, though by this point TakaraTomy had announced their general retail release. Wreck-Gar was also available at EB Games in Canada before he became available in the United States. In the Netherlands, he was available at Kruidvat stores in mid-2019 (as an official release in European packaging), where he was sold on discount for a mere 10 Euros per figure alongside other Titans Return Deluxe Class figures and Robots in Disguise Warrior Class figures for the same price.
