The Robots in Disguise Sideways toy is a yellow and black redeco of the Microman: LED Powers toy Mach Speeder, itself a retool of Generation 2 Road Rocket, transforming into a Yamaha GTS1000A racing motorcycle with a light-up rear wheel suspension/buzzsaw weapon. He came packaged with Axer in a Wal-Mart exclusive two-pack. Of note is that Sideways is, rather unusually, cast entirely from black plastic except for the transparent portions, with all other colors being paint.
This set was released in Japan as a Toys”R”Us-exclusive ”USA Edition” on May 30, 2002.
This mold was also used to make Microman Hiper Speeder and Robotmasters Road Rocket. The original mold was going to be used to make Laser Cycle Jazz in Generation 2, but the line was cancelled before the toy hit full production.

Part of a Walmart exclusive 2-pack with Sideways, Robots in Disguise Axer is a redeco of the Microman: LED Powers toy Road Bison, itself a retool of the Generation 2 Laser Cycle Road Pig with new handlebars. He transforms into a mostly-black Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle. His tailpipe has an LED that lights it up, becoming an arm-mounted weapon in robot mode.
This set was released in Japan as a Toys”R”Us-exclusive ”USA Edition” on May 30, 2002.
This mold was also used to make Microman Tornado Bison and Robotmasters Double Face. It was going to be used for Generation 2 Soundwave, but that release was canceled.
