Released in time for the tenth anniversary of Revenge of the Fallen, Studio Series "Constructicon Rampage” is an all-new Voyager Class figure accurate to the character’s appearance in Revenge of the Fallen, complete with tiny painted warning labels in his armpits. He comes with two blasters, made from the pistons of his vehicle mode, that can be placed inside his hand, and a cardboard backdrop display depicting Operation: Firestorm. Owing to Rampage’s unique monopod design, the figure also comes with a small black plastic base to help him stand (or you could try to balnce him with the post on the bottom of his jackhammer), which can be stored between his treads in vehicle mode. In combined mode, the stand plugs into Devastator’s rump.Unfortunately, all releases of Rampage suffer from a major misassembly: The joint that connects the upper and lower torsos, featuring a sculpted robot waist and a transmission unit, is flipped compared to the CG stock renders, resulting in the robot waist being present in bulldozer mode and vice-versa. The misassembly does not affect the transformation, though the pinned construction of the joint means it is risky to swap it around.Rampage can be combined with the other Studio Series Constructicons to form Devastator. Though he was one of the first Constructicons to be released in the line, Hasbro originally intended for Rampage to be displayed alongside Bumblebee, rather than being Devastator’s leg. Rampage was later redecoed into Skipjack, who had been the original intent for the combiner, but since both Skipjack and Rampage share the same design it gave fans the option to use Rampage instead if they wanted.Like the majority of the Studio Series Constructicons, he lacks a Decepticon symbol.
