The Max Rebo & Doda Bodonawieedo action figure set, released in 1998 as part of the Max Rebo Band Pairs assortment, features two of the beloved band members from Return of the Jedi: Special Edition. The set, originally retailing for $11.99, includes Max Rebo, the band’s blue-skinned leader and keyboardist from Orto, and Doda Bodonawieedo, a Rodian instrumentalist. Accessories include Max Rebo’s iconic Red Ball Organ and Doda’s Slitherhorn. Max assumed leadership after their former manager, Evar Orbus, was killed, and secured a lifetime gig with Jabba the Hutt in exchange for food. Doda joined the band as an instrumentalist after initially arriving at Jabba’s Palace as a petty thief.
