By 1992, however, Michaels believed that his union with Jannetty held him back from true greatness. He made this known to the world in an infamous appearance on Brutus Beefcake’s
”Barber Shop” when he superkicked Jannetty and threw him straight through the set’s window. The moment officially marked the end of The Rockers and the beginning of an incredibly successful yet controversial singles career. Although the rebel in leather chaps consistently balked at authority, broke the rules, and surrounded himself with like-minded troublemakers, his skills in the ring were undeniable. He went on to win every major WWE title and two Royal Rumbles, and gained entry into the WWE Hall of Fame. And with his penchant for stealing the show on the world’s biggest stage, he earned yet another, but very fitting nickname: Mr. WrestleMania.
