The name Haycutters refers to the McLaren Vale vineyard block that was used to grow hay for my Grandfather‘s dairy herd. The high calcium soil that built strong bones in the heifers is also ideal for growing vines. Haycutters Shiraz is a full-bodied red wine showing all the generous fruit typical of McLaren Vale, balanced by a restrained oak framework. The fine tannins and minerality focus the luscious dark and red berry fruit into a long lingering finish.
