Description:
Aged for ten years and finished in sherry casks, this unique Laphroaig expression combines the unforgettable flavour of the classic Laphroaig ten year old Whisky with the sweetness and complexity of Oloroso.
NOSE:
Rich and sweet peat smoke with a thick layer of raisin jam, pine needles, earth and cinnamon-and-brown-sugar-dusted baked apples. Tar and leather develops, joined by liquorice, menthol and blackcurrants.
PALATE:
Dark and ashy to start, with bitter char and liquorice pastilles balanced by bittersweet dark chocolate, mint fondant and singed fruit cake. More fruit develops, wrapped in layers of ashy peat smoke.
FINISH:
Dark chocolate and tar fade to reveal fruit cake and a hint of lingering mint.
