Taking the Jim Beam mashbill and replacing the rye with brown rice, Freddie Noe aged this batch for about 5 years, finishing them in a grand total of 4 “honey barrels” used for Basil Hayden Toast. That’s right, the entirety of DS001 was 4 barrels’ worth of liquid. IMO, this was a pretty tasty liquid, adding a pleasant twist to Jim Beam. According to Freddie, DS01 is entirely gone at this time.
