Title:
Jim Beam Distillers’ Share 04
Description:
17 yr old Campus Blend 10% Clermont, 60% Boston, 30% Frankfort each liquid was truly stellar, but Frankfort was my favorite, with Boston close behind.
Up until now, the only DS I really cared for was DS01, but this came through and stands head and shoulders above the other DS releases. I may be a little biased with my love for Hardin’s Creek, but it shows. This is an excellent blend, and my only complaint is there’s not more of it; not just in the bottle, but overall. Freddie himself said he was a little worried he used too much Boston in the blend, but I think it’s safe to say those worries were ultimately unfounded. Lastly, each release of DS has come in a 375ml bottle, sporting a premium price tag. This is the first DS I feel actually earned its premium status.
