We have our first Nulu wheated bourbon as well as another Honey finished bourbon. The Nulu Honey and Amburana finishes continue to be the most popular. However, this new wheated bourbon is special. We described the experience as eating a snickers bar while smoking a cigar. A delicious but odd pairing! It’s sweet and truffle like on the palate. That quickly turns to drier, smokier notes. The Honey barrel is sweet but well balanced. It’s like drinking honeycomb cereal. Balanced by the oak and spice, it’s not cloyingly sweet.
