This is the last of Dalmore’s luxury Luminary series - and of the trilogy, it’s the oldest, with the most decadent ABV and the most complex maturation regime.
When you open this bottle, you’ll be met with finely integrated cask influence from 1989 and 1999 vintage Calvados, alongside 30yo average age Matusalem and Apostoles Sherries - with further complexity from Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine casks. The tasting notes below are just indicative of the depth of lavers on offer here. Be sure to watch these flavours evolve in the glass over time.
Nose: Vibrant orchard character, with vanilla bean, cinnamon, soft wood spices and cardamom Palate: Rich butterscotch, tarte tatin, marmalade and ripe blackberry evolves into a softly spiced finish of semi-dried apricot and pain au chocolat brioche
