This release starts with a grain bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley. The whole grain is ground and fermented, distilled it in copper stills, and then passed through the traditional charcoal mellowing process. The Tennessee Rye Whiskey distillate was barreled in 2015 in new charred American White Oak barrels then were aged on the top floors of Barrel House 1 atop Tanyard Hill. Bottled at barrel proof, ranging between 130.2 to 148.8 proof, this special release exemplifies the versatility in proof that Tanyard Hill delivers. This offering will nearly be 10 years old at bottling and offer a bold and uncut experience straight fromt the barrel showcasing Jack Daniel’s mastery of Tennessee Rye whiskey-making! 16500ish bottles done
