Title:
Old Fitzgerald BiB 11 Year - Fall 2025
Description:
Shipped late — in mid-December, though technically that’s still “Fall 2025.” As a refresher, Old Fitz bonded releases can range in age wildly, from 8 to 19 years (so far), but many of the more notable releases are quite young. At 11 years old Fall 2025 isn’t the baby of the group, but it’s still quite a spring chicken.
Mashbill: 75% Corn, 20% Wheat, 5% Malted Barley
Heaven Hill’s Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Decanter Series is released nationally twice per year, with each release representing one of the two annual distillation seasons; spring and fall. The decanter was inspired by the original 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, and the Fall 2025 Edition represents the 16th release in the series. The age of whiskeys bottled for this series varies, with past releases ranging from 8 to 19 years.
It’s still nice to see Heaven Hill putting effort behind this line versus trying to sell consumers on flair alone, as the decanter-style bottle will always be a draw. Like the earlier Spring 2025 release, the Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Fall 2025 Edition is more traditional tasting. It tampers down the fruit notes and focuses more on aged, dry notes, with sweetness weaving in and out to provide contrast. The thinner mouthfeel is noticeable, but not enough to take away from the fact that this is still a great bourbon and a nice way to end the year for the Old Fitzgerald line.
