Vintage Bols musical liqueur bottle / decanter featuring a wind-up music box mechanism in the base and a small ballerina figurine visible inside the bottle. When wound, the ballerina rotates/dances and the mechanism plays the tune labeled in French as ”Le Bleu Danube” (The Blue Danube). The underside shows a round label reading ”BOTTLE AND UNIT made in France”. The base contains floating gold-colored flecks/glitter in the liqueur. Bottle has a cork/stopper with a red/orange tax-style strip and twine/wire around the neck. Overall form is a rounded, bell-shaped bottle with amber/golden liquid inside; ballerina appears to wear a red skirt. Collectible novelty liquor bottle/music box commonly referred to as the ”Bols Ballerina” bottle.
