3 Large Fol Art marrionette

Auction is for Three (3) large One of A Kind OOAK Characters, comical vintage hand carved, hand-made and hand painted Folk Art wooden marionette puppets with clothing.

This set includes a Bear, a Teenager and a Woman, all approximately 22” - 23” tall. There’s a story here with these three characters. They have a lot of expression, would make great new characters to add to a marionette puppet collection. They will provide hours of fun and entertainment in creating a marionette puppet show or play. All have carved and painted wood heads and jointed limbs and body. All have eye rings to attach movement monofilament (fishing line) strings. The color is solid brown. Twi photos makes him look shaded. Not. He’s one solid color brown.

The Bear which is the largest, has comical face reminds me of Yogi Bear, has brown plush fur body, with carved paws and jointed wood limbs and body.

Funny looking Teenager, has a mischievous look about him, with red yarn hair and freckles. He wears a yellow turtleneck shirt with tiny brown speckles in some places, blue jeans, carved wood hands and blue and white sneakers.

The Woman, could be a mother, psychologist, secretary or teacher has brown yarn hair, red lipstick, small round silver earrings and blue eyeglasses. She wears a pink paisley print dress, and has carved wood blue high heel shoes.

Each has a wooden control for strings. One is missing the stick to control legs and easily replaced. The strings were tangled, and cut to replace. I decided to let new owner replace so they can have the proper length they need to work with their puppet stage or theatre. The new strings are easily attached and the original are still there for reference. I can send or direct winning bidder to online instructions.
