This original hand pulled lithographic poster of the American Flamingo by John James Audubon is from an exhibition at the American Cultural Center in Paris in 1960. Printed by Mourlot. The American Flamingo is one of John James Audubon’s most iconic and recognizable images. Bold and beautiful. John James Audubon saw Flamingos during a trip to the Florida Keys in the 1830’s. It was from this experience that he was inspired to include this species in his “Birds of America.”

Exhibition from October 19 - December 10 1960 every day from 10 am to 7 pm except Sunday.
