In May 2005, friends of your mom and me from Emerson College travelled to Las Vegas to see the Grateful Dead. They invited us, and your mom went but I did not—had Dimensional work to do that weekend and frankly wasn’t that interested. Jerry Garcia passed away two and a half months after the Vegas shows. Twenty years later, finally a converted Deadhead thanks to Gene Fama, I saw the Grateful Dead for the first time, their 50th anniversary concert, but never did see Jerry live.
