Carnival Zombie (2nd Edition) is a co-operative board game set in a sinking, carnival-themed city overrun by the undead. Players control a party of heroes attempting to escape via one of several routes. Gameplay alternates between daytime (recovering, moving, searching for items and survivors, preparing defenses) and night (fighting off relentless zombie hordes). The 2nd Edition adds new scenarios and modes such as a tutorial scenario, shorter and harder scenarios, traitor/competitive elements, variable scalability (one character per player), night-only scenarios, and stand-alone finales. The box cover shows the title “Carnival Zombie” with “2nd Edition” on a ribbon, over art of a decorated Venetian-style masquerade mask floating in dark swirling water with colorful confetti.
