Your crew will face emergencies inspired by actual Mars mission scenarios where every second counts.
From the Instructions:
Your team of brave astronauts has accepted a perilous mission to Mars. It is vital that the astronauts stay healthy and perform Mission Tasks throughout the journey in preparation for the difficult Mars Landing.
Space is full of hazards, and emergencies are common. When the Command Computer sounds the alarm, the clock starts ticking. The team must quickly assess the situation and execute the correct Emergency Procedure. The team wins only if the ship survives the journey, and the crew successfully executes the Mars Landing Procedure.
The game can end one of three ways:
Spacecraft is Destroyed:
If the players fail four Emergency Procedures, the spacecraft takes more damage than it can sustain and is destroyed. The players lose the game.
Landing Procedure Fails:
If the players are not able to successfully complete the Mars Landing Procedure before time runs out, the landing vehicle crashing on to the surface of Mars. The players lose the game.
Landing Procedure Succeeds:
If the players successfully complete the Mars Landing Procedure, then its time to celebrate a successful mission. The players win the game!
Components:
1 Electronic Game Computer (black plastic with sticker label, 4.75”x4.75”x2”, requires 3 AA batteries, not included).
1 Game Board (17”x17”).
4 Astronaut markers (plastic pawns 29x15x9mm, in 4 Player colors: blue, orange, black, white).
12 Health tracking tokens (plastic disks 15mm dia. x 1 mm, 3 per Player color).
1 Movement Die (custom eight-sided 20mm black plastic with numerals 2-5).
1 Task Die (custom six-sided 17mm white plastic with 3 different symbols).
16 Emergency Procedure cards (104x89mm, fits in computer).
18 Mission Task cards (50x88mm).
4 Astronaut Health (Player) cards (113x152mm).
