Title:
Beestenveiling
Description:
Title on box: ”Beestenveiling” with subtitle ”beestachtig leuk!” (Dutch language). University Games product code shown on front near logo: 08616. Card/auction game illustrated with a cartoon lion and various animals; designed by Reiner Knizia (name printed on the front bottom-right). Gameplay (as described by Dutch retailers/review sites): players bid using a hand of money cards to acquire animal cards in an auction; some animals are positive (score points) and some are negative (penalty). A key twist is that the player who ends with the least remaining money automatically loses regardless of points, so players must balance bidding to win valuable animals while ensuring they do not end the game poorest. The game ends when a certain set of special (blue-background) animal cards appears, so the auction can end earlier than expected. Dutch edition published by University Games; commonly listed as 3–5 players, ~30 minutes, ages 8+.
