The play of this game involves moving playing pieces and fences. It is because of these fences that this game is completely different. The play is easy but the choice of moves is vast and no two games are the same. The object of the game is to be the first player to move, by exact count, all four playing pieces into the centre square. Passage to the centre can either be aided or (for your opponent) hindered by the strategic placement of your stock of fences.
