Synopsis:
Set during the Great Depression in California, the story follows two migrant ranch workers, George Milton and Lennie Small. George is sharp and protective; Lennie is physically powerful but has the mind of a child and a dangerous, uncontrollable attraction to soft, helpless things. Together they cling to a shared dream of saving enough money to buy their own small farm, a place where they can live safely and independently. Their fragile hope is threatened by the harsh realities of ranch life, loneliness, prejudice, and Lennie’s inability to control his strength, culminating in a tragic outcome.
