Synopsis:
A landmark American play set in the small New Hampshire town of Grover’s Corners in the early 1900s. Guided by the Stage Manager, the audience follows the everyday lives of the townspeople—especially George Gibbs and Emily Webb—as they grow up, fall in love, marry, and face loss. Told in three acts, the play uses minimal scenery and direct address to highlight the beauty and fragility of ordinary life, ultimately asking the audience to recognize the value of daily moments before they pass.
