Synopsis:
Saving Faith is a political thriller centered on Faith Lockhart, a Washington, D.C. lobbyist who has uncovered a far‑reaching corruption and bribery scheme that reaches into the highest levels of the U.S. government. Disturbed by what she has helped create, Faith turns herself into the FBI and begins secretly cooperating as a key witness, laying out how lobbyist money has bought influence and subverted the democratic process.
Unbeknownst to Faith, a rogue faction within the CIA—led by powerful, deeply entrenched figures determined to reassert the agency’s dominance over the FBI and protect their own covert funding channels—has discovered the bribery network she and her boss, legendary lobbyist Danny Buchanan, have built. Rather than expose it, they plan to seize control of the operation, blackmailing the involved members of Congress and using them as pawns in a shadowy power struggle between intelligence agencies.
To secure their plan, the conspirators decide that Faith and Danny must be eliminated before they can fully reveal the scheme. Faith is moved to a secluded FBI safe house outside Washington, where agents interrogate her and prepare a case. As a carefully planned assassination attempt unfolds at the safe house, private investigator Lee Adams—hired to follow Faith for reasons he doesn’t initially understand—unexpectedly intervenes. The hit goes catastrophically wrong: an FBI agent is killed, the safe house is compromised, and Lee escapes with Faith in the chaos.
Now hunted by both the rogue CIA operatives and law enforcement that believes Faith may be involved in the killing, Faith and Lee go on the run across several states, trying to stay one step ahead of professional killers and federal authorities alike. Along the way, Lee becomes torn between his duty to find out who hired him and his growing conviction that Faith is telling the truth about the conspiracy. As they dig deeper, they uncover just how many powerful politicians and intelligence officials have a stake in silencing Faith forever.
Back in Washington, honest FBI agents, including Brooke Reynolds, begin to suspect that the attack on the safe house was not what it appeared to be—and that someone inside the government is orchestrating events. Multiple investigative threads converge as the Bureau races to track Faith and Lee, expose the secret cabal, and unravel a plot that could permanently shift the balance of power in the American intelligence community.
Combining high‑stakes political intrigue, suspenseful man‑on‑the‑run sequences, and insight into back‑room lobbying and intelligence maneuvering, Saving Faith explores themes of corruption, loyalty, redemption, and the price of telling the truth when the most powerful people in the world have everything to lose.
