Synopsis:
Misty Wilmot is a waitress on the secluded island town of Waytansea. After her husband’s apparent suicide attempt leaves him in a coma, she begins keeping a “coma diary,” addressing entries to him as she tries to make sense of their lives and the island’s secrets.

As Misty’s long-dormant artistic talent returns, she becomes compelled to paint—producing unsettling work that draws the town’s attention. The island community, local power-brokers, and even Misty’s own past begin to close in, steering her toward a role she does not fully understand.

Told through Misty’s diary entries, the story blends dark humor and psychological suspense as she discovers how deeply the town’s history, tourism economy, and generations of hidden violence are entangled with her art and her family.
