This story is actually many stories interwoven by the commonality of a families relationship and desire to receive Aunt Beckys old jug upon her death. Aunt Becky calls ”a levee” and tells e drying the conditions on which someone may be in the running for the old jug and which behaviors will certainly take them out of contention. She sets a date over a year away, to announce her decision. The whole community changes by weighing each decision on what Aunt Beck would think. The outcome is a series of events that definitely create a tangled web.
