The second coin in the series features The Hogwarts Express, the train which dutifully carries students of all years to and from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is the VERY FIRST TIME the wizarding world of Harry Potter has appeared on UK coins struck by The Royal Mint. The reverse of each coin will feature an original illustration by Jim Kay, the artist who created the first fully illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Depicted on the obverse of edition is Jody Clark’s effigy of the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, illustrating its legal tender status. Each coin in the series has a latent feature that displays a lightning bolt and the number 25 for the special anniversary.
