Superbly coloured Kookaburra silver coins from The Perth Mint have become synonymous with World Money Fair. As our ‘show special’ for this major annual event, it has sold out in each of the previous four years.
The coin portrays a coloured representation of two kookaburras perched on the branches of a shrub displaying the crimson flowers of Australian native Waratah. The design incorporates the inscription ‘KOOKABURRA’, The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, the 2023 year-date and the coin’s weight and purity.
This coin also portrays the official ‘Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse’, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign – ‘1952 – 2022’.
