The design includes the inscription STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-D, The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the 2015 Star Trek: The Next Generation – U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D 1oz Silver Proof Coin in this packaging, from a maximum mintage of 6,500.
The coin is housed in a replica of a Star Trek transporter machine which lights up when the lid is opened. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
