To acknowledge the contribution that horses made to policing in Queensland since 1864, a new challenge coin has been struck.
Similar in size and finish as the standard FQPM challenge coins, the reverse side depicts a silver raised 3D image of a mounted constable (circa 1950) in the police paddock at Oxley near the current site of the Queensland Police Academy.
