Title:

***READ THIS SECOND***

Description:
Clicking on any item in this catalog will open up a description of that coin. It will tell you how to calculate its value based of current silver or gold prices that can be found easily online. Just search “Current Price Of Silver” or “Current Price Of Gold” and that price will be the price per Troy ounce of the pure metal. Items in the catalog that are not pure or weigh less than one ounce will tell you exactly how to calculate it using simple multiplication.

A “Troy ounce” is 31.1 grams, and standard ounce is 28.35 grams so a Troy ounce weighs more than a standard ounce.

If there are multiples of an item, it will have the quantity listed. It also has the most recent estimated value per item. I updated everything at least once a month so these estimates should be fairly accurate. It will also have pictures of the item, if there are multiples from a range of years, the image is of just one, so the images will all be the same but the year stamped will vary and level of wear may also vary from the picture. If it is a special “Key Date Coin” it will have its own listing in this catalog, as its value will be estimated differently than common years.

Each Item will also show a storage location as well. Don’t worry about the order of the boxes, each box is labeled so all you have to do is match up the labels and you will find the item you are looking at on here inside that box. Just make sure you keep the lids on the correct boxes. You can take the iPad to Capitol Coin, a pawnshop, maybe a jewelry shop, another coin shop, whoever buys gold and silver and show them this catalog and they can tell you how much to bring them at once or what they want. There is 10s of thousands of dollars in the safe, and one shop might not be able to afford to buy the entire collection at once. It may be possible to arrange a sale to a wholesaler through Capitol Coin if they can not buy the entire collection, or the amount you want to sell if not the whole collection, but that process may take several days or more I’m not sure.

Inside each box you will find either items in capsules or tubes. Individual capsules are not labeled but are positioned according to the location given in this catalog and also the labels on the insides of the lids, if you place the lids next to the box they came off so you can see the inside of the lids, there is a grid of labels that will match up with the box. Each individual tube has a label on it.

There are a few “Keep Forever” boxes that are recommended to be saved and never sold unless it is absolutely 110% necessary to do so. They are as many examples of “Money” as I could collect as a preservation of history in a private collection. The only stipulations to get into this collection are it has to be a “state” backed “coin”, meant for circulation, contain a precious metal, and not a duplicate imagery or metal of something already in the collection. But the nicest example was placed in this collection if duplicates are in the catalog as a whole. This is a collection that I want to see get passed down for generations and if anyone is in possession of this collection has any interest in adding to the collection they should add anything they can to it, and they should include their story as I did if they add to it.

Everything outside of the “Keep Forever” boxes I recommend only selling what you need to whenever you need some extra money. To do that just figure out how many dollars you need, then look up the price of silver and divide how many dollars you need by the price of silver. That will tell you how many ounces of silver you need to sell. You can do the same with the gold for bigger dollar needs. I’d recommend selling most of the silver first even on bigger needs unless it’s over $5,000. Always bring a few extra ounces of silver in case they will only pay below the current price and you need a little extra to get to the dollar amount you’re trying to get.

I know that selling just a little at a time will be a pain in the butt, because you’ll have to go to a coin shop or somewhere else that buys gold and silver to get cash. But, it will make it easier for you to use this value for things you really need, and not just waste the money on junk that holds no value. That is the reason I started this whole thing. I needed a way to never be a point in my life that I was out of cash and needed to resell some of my belongings to make ends meet again not having anything of much value and having to reach out for help from others when I couldn’t support myself. So I started buying gold and silver as a “hobby” to “waste” money on. If you like to spend money on yourself like I did, buy things that retain value, and precious metals retain value very well. Of the precious metals, gold and silver have throughout history proven to be the most liquid value metal on the planet. Meaning it is very easy to find places that buy/sell/accept as payment - gold and silver throughout history. In current times, not so much as payment, but it’s pretty easy to find places that will buy/sell. I’ve been dealing with Capitol Coin since 2024, I’ve bought/sold things from/to them almost every month since my first visit in early 2024 at the end of my first cancer treatments after I got my first diagnosis in the fall of 2023.

Hopefully no one that is receiving any of this collect ever needs it, but I hope it helps if you are ever in need.

The Ancient Coin Collection is coins prior to 1800 prior to the founding of The United States mainly focused on much older Greek and Roman coins made prior to the year 500 and Knights Templar related coins. This is a collection that should probably be taken to the coin shop and dropped off so that they can properly evaluate the collection to make a proper offer after several days or weeks. It may take them some time to get a good valuation even with all the information I’ve included in this collection. They may offer to put them up in the auction or in the shop as a consignment sale and you’ll have to wait until it sells to get any money for this collection. Or you can take the estimated values I’ve given them and try to sell the collection as a whole or in chunks online on like eBay. Or if you or someone you know is really into history, keep it. It’s a very valuable collection, and comes with binders of information about them. I really got into human history while I was going through Chemo the first time with all the free time I had. I’m fascinated by something surviving from hundreds of years before Jesus walked the Earth to today, and in quantities large enough for everyday people to collect them. The binders for these coins are full of information about each coin.
