The new State Flying Squad (SFS) and Taskforce Guardian (TFG) Challenge Coin is now available for purchase.
All profits will be donated to a First Nations Youth charity based in Mt Isa which delivers physical health and on-country programs
Background: Formed in 2002, SFS responds to requests for assistance from Regions and Commands to assist in responding to serious and major crimes and crime issues causing harm to communities.
Established in 2023, TFG is a rapid response joint agency taskforce (funded to 30 June 2025), focused on preventing, disrupting, and responding to high-risk youth offending through the rapid deployment of police and youth justice resources state-wide.
January 2025, the Qld Government announced the enhancement of the State Flying Squad to 58 officers (for the next five years), absorbing operations including Taskforce Guardian and Operational Whiskey Legion.
