This is the first time CT Investigations are producing a coin for wide release since the stand-up of the Security and Counter-Terrorism Command in July 2018.
Prior to this the Security Intelligence Branch (SIB) existed in a small team within the ICMC.
The Security Investigations team conducts investigations into security and terrorism activities at times assisted by partner agencies and/or the Security and Counter-Terrorism Network. The SIT also investigates incidents of Politically Motivated Violence and threats against Public Office Holders in Queensland. Our Detectives also have the opportunity to be seconded to the Qld Joint Counter-Terrorism Team (QJCTT) with our partner agencies.
This new logo of the kneeling Knight represents our dedication to QLD community safety, with the planted SCTC sword representing our preparation to be of service to the state, our QPS colleagues, and partner Law Enforcement Agencies around the world.
