Description:
Brazilian 10 centavos circulation coin dated 2013. The obverse depicted in the image shows a large, stylized numeral 10 over a background of fine diagonal lines, with the word CENTAVOS in smaller letters at the lower left and center and the date 2013 beneath. Curved bands and a group of small stars appear to the right of the numeral, echoing elements of the Brazilian flag. At the very bottom is a flowing ribbon-like motif. The coin appears to be struck in a brass-coloured alloy (Brazilian 10 centavos pieces of this type are made of copper-plated steel) and shows typical circulation wear and minor verdigris spots. This is a standard modern Brazilian Real subdivision coin, part of the second Real series introduced in 1998.
