Description:
Cuban silver 1 peso coin dated 1934. The obverse shows a large five-pointed star with radiating rays at the center, surrounded by the Spanish legend ”PATRIA Y LIBERTAD” (Fatherland and Liberty). The date ”1934” appears along the lower left side of the rim, and the fineness inscription ”900 M” (indicating .900 fine metal) is placed near the bottom. Small dots separate the inscriptions around the rim. The reverse features the legend ”CUBAN” at the top and the denomination in Spanish, ”UN PESO”, in two lines at the center. A laurel wreath encircles the denomination, tied with a bow at the bottom. The coin is housed in a square, clear plastic holder. This is the classic five-pointed star type Cuban silver peso issued in the early 20th century.
