United States Lincoln Wheat cent (wheat penny) dated 1950 with an ’S’ mintmark indicating production at the San Francisco Mint. The obverse features the right-facing bust of President Abraham Lincoln designed in a classical style, with the inscriptions ’IN GOD WE TRUST’ along the upper rim, ’LIBERTY’ to the left of the portrait, and the date ’1950’ followed by a small ’S’ mintmark to the right of Lincoln’s shoulder. The coin shows circulated wear with softened details and surface discoloration consistent with age and handling. The reverse (not shown in the image, but standard for this type) would carry two stylized wheat ears along the left and right rims enclosing the denomination ’ONE CENT’ and the legend ’UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’, with the motto ’E PLURIBUS UNUM’ at the top.
