Obverse shows crowned and robed bust of King George V facing left with legend (partially visible on the provided photo) consistent with: ”GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:”. The 1916 halfpenny was struck at the Calcutta (India) mint and typically carries an ”I” mintmark under the scroll on the reverse (not clearly visible in the provided image due to wear/toning).
