Reverse shows a leaping kangaroo facing left with legends ’AUSTRALIA’ at the top, ’PENNY’ at the bottom, and the date ’1943’ to the right of the kangaroo. A small star-like symbol appears to the lower left of the kangaroo (as seen in the provided image). Coin appears bronze with dark brown toning and surface wear consistent with circulation.
