This is a 1916 George V Great Britain Farthing. It was produced during the reign of King George the V (1010 - 1936). Farthings struck between 1897 and 1917 were given an artificially darkened or “blackened” finish a using acid fumes to prevent them from being passed off as half sovereigns.
The condition of this coin is heavily circulated and shows significant signs of corrosion and wear.
