The reverse shows a Revolutionary War scene: Sergeant William Jasper returning the regimental flag to the ramparts while under attack from a British ship; cannon and waves appear to the right. Reverse legends visible on the coin: ”FORT MOULTRIE” at top; ”SOUTH CAROLINA” and ”E PLURIBUS UNUM” around the perimeter; date at right appears as 1976 in the photo but this design corresponds to the official Fort Moultrie ATB quarter issued in 2016 (the year on genuine issues is 2016). Standard Washington quarter obverse (not shown) features George Washington portrait used on modern U.S. quarters.
