Australia Endangered Species Set | Westpac Bank 175th Anniversary by the Royal Australian Mint.

These medals were struck by the Royal Australian Mint and issued by the Western Pacific Banking Corporation in 1992 to celebrate its 175 years anniversary. Westpac was Australia’s first bank and was originally called The Bank of New South Wales. All profits from the sale of the medals were donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to help with work to protect endangered species. The six medals represent six Australian endangered species and were issued in a large folding coincard inside a slipcase.
