Reverse shows Inuit art featuring an owl (wisdom) with a polar bear (power/benefaction), with bilingual month text ”APRIL 1999 AVRIL” at the top and ”CANADA” at the bottom. This design is part of the Royal Canadian Mint circulating millennium quarters program (one design per month). Reverse design adapted from artwork by Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak; obverse portrait by Dora de Pédery-Hunt.
