Title:
Eisenhower Dollar
Description:
United States Eisenhower dollar coin dated 1972, shown loose in a small clear zip-top plastic bag (no retail card or labeled packaging visible; no barcode present).
Obverse (front): Large left-facing bust of President Dwight D. Eisenhower with the legend ”LIBERTY” around the top rim, motto ”IN GOD WE TRUST” to the left of the neck, and date ”1972” at the bottom.
Reverse (back): Apollo 11 mission insignia design—an eagle descending/landing on the Moon while holding an olive branch, with Earth above; legends include ”UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” around the rim and ”ONE DOLLAR”. Reverse includes the designer initials (typically ”FG”) near the eagle.
This appears to be the common copper-nickel clad (circulation/business strike) Eisenhower dollar type (not the 40% silver collector issue), based on typical appearance and the absence of any special U.S. Mint packaging.
