Description:
United States Eisenhower (”Ike”) dollar coin with Bicentennial dual date. Obverse shows a left-facing portrait of Dwight D. Eisenhower with the legends ”LIBERTY” around the top, ”IN GOD WE TRUST” at left, and the dual date ”1776•1976” at the bottom (dates separated by a centered dot). Reverse shows the Bicentennial design: the Liberty Bell superimposed over the Moon, with ”UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” around the top and ”ONE DOLLAR” around the bottom; also includes ”E PLURIBUS UNUM” at right. A ”D” mint mark is visible beneath the bell on the reverse, indicating Denver mint. Coin appears copper-nickel clad (standard circulating issue) and has a reeded edge typical of Eisenhower dollars.
